Robert Burrows
The work I produce consists of paintings and drawings of objects in the environment, in the physical world. They are semi-photographic images of mundane or ordinary objects. The paintings have an abstract feel when viewed closely, due to the painterly style of execution, although from a distance they appear to be figurative. I make many sketches from life, but my paintings are produced from images caught on a digital camera. The paintings are usually much larger than life and made with oils or acrylics on canvas.
