A series of photographs that capture artificial light and colour at night to then construct memories and experiences of urban environments.
Diane Jones and Paul Haywood seek to discover colours in darkened landscapes which are not discernable in daylight hours. Through their methods they build personal interpretations of spaces and places that are unfamiliar. Their motivation is the simple but satisfying objective to emulate an experience of atmospheric colour.
The two artists collaborate with photography and painting. Diane Jones has a background in sculpture with an interest in light and repetitive form. Paul Haywood collaborates with design teams on social arts programmes.
