There is a strong desire in working with found objects to show the veneration of discarded objects, to elevate their status, to enjoy them, to grieve them; one or all of these actions may take place. The process of relating to an object has many ritualistic elements, as may be discovered in a laboratory setting. Printing from the object, taking the object's 'finger prints' reveals a unique identity.
