Angela Presnail
The main thematic focus of my work deals with questions of identity and the way representation legislates and defines us all. I have an interest in how the found image is transformed when translated into another medium. In the history of art cardboard has had a remarkably low status in the hierarchy of materials considered both ordinary and imperminent. I use it not just because its a form of packaging but because it incorporates life and culture in the most basic sense.
