Eyelash Liminals

These drawings document liminal spaces, in pursuit of the meeting point between shadow and light.
They are defined by and exist because of their failure to locate and secure the space between one thing
happening, and the next. The shadow is cast by a single eyelash.
Upon meeting the tip of a pencil or pen, the lash is seen to 'spring' across the surface, creating a
natural rhythm of marks in its wake. The act of drawing alters the location of light and shadow, and
the chase continues, documenting the progression of these impossible spaces. And so on and so on.
The process will never become 'finished'.
The experiment ends when I run out of paper.
