More about Leftfield
Leftfield is an initiative of the University of Salford; aiming to promote recent graduates and Masters Students from the region alongside established professionals. The mix of Fine Art, Design and Digital Media richly reflects the diversity and excellence in our City and its' neighbouring towns.
Our aim ultimately is to create a place where artists can have an entry route to the commercial market, develop their professional practice and go on to make a successful living as contemporary artists and freelance practitioners.
Leftfield is run by practicing artists, many of whom graduated from the University of Salford. We believe that what we have developed, and continue to expand, represents an important and effective model for creating and sustaining artistic communities. From here, brave and exciting ideas spring forth without any compromise in integrity, with the assurance and guidance of a group of like minded people: people who are, first and foremost artists themselves.
